Buying CBD Oil in the USA is easy, there are thousands of websites online dedicated to hemp and CBD products. You can also walk in to most retail stores, chiropractors, health food stores, supplement shops, smoke shops, vape shops, and even some kiosks in the mall and buy CBD products. However, finding Quality CBD products can be a little bit tricky.
Where can I find good CBD products?
Where to start?
The best way to find a quality CBD product without spending hundreds of dollars actually trying them is to focus on the manufacturer, not which store sells it. There are plenty of quality CBD manufacturers in the USA. Unfortunately, there are more of them out there that care more about profit than making quality CBD products. This happens quite frequently when a great group of guys making awesome hemp products becomes a multimillion-dollar company with a board of directors and 5 levels of managements. (especially when they are publicly traded). I’m not saying this is the case with every large CBD company, but definitely a lot of them. Also, you don’t want a manufacturer to be too small, such as a guy making his tinctures in a bucket in the garage.
A medium size manufacturer is the key.
Tips to find a medium size CBD manufacturer
- Call them. – Large companies usually won’t answer their phone
- Verify their Manufacturing License. – Check if they are licensed by the state they are located in.
- COA’s: Ask to see the COA’s, or Lab Reports, for the CBD Distillate (or isolate) that they used to make their products.
How do I know if a CBD company makes their own products?
Start, by looking on the label. In the small print above their company name or address it will either say:
“MANUFACTURED BY” or “DISTRIBUTED BY”
Manufactured by means they make their own products.
Avoid being fooled by these things:
- Online Reviews: Over 50% (I’m being nice, it’s probably more like 80%) of online reviews are FAKE. Don’t be fooled.
- Pictures on their Website: Just because theirs and image of a factory, doesn’t mean they really have one.
Tips on Buying CBD:
The best way to find a trustworthy CBD product if from someone you know that uses it. Ask around. Also, purchase from reputable sources and do your homework on these companies.
Do not buy CBD product from places that don’t allow it, LIKE AMAZON and WALMART. They may have “Hemp Oil”, which is okay if it’s whole plant or broad spectrum, but on Amazon what you’re buying is “hemp SEED oil” which is basically just cooking oil. There’s no CBD in hemp seed oil.
Like vitamins and other supplements, CBD products aren’t regulated or FDA approved to treat disease, so buyer beware. Look for products that have been tested by an independent third party lab so you don’t end up with a product that has too much THC in it or a product contaminated with pesticides.
One of our favorite companies is Hemp Lively, a licensed hemp product manufacturer out of Florida who specializes in Whole Plant Hemp Products (CBD plus all available cannabinoids in Hemp 100+) and Delta-8 THC products.
Once you’ve found a trustworthy CBD product line, then you can choose whether to order it online or support your local businesses that carry it. If you can’t find a local business but would like to buy there regularly, just ask the shop owner to start carrying the product because you want to buy it.
